The Treatment Process
PDO thread lifts are a much more sought-after procedure than facelifts due to their minimally invasive nature. Your treatment will be much less intense than a facelift, will take less than 30 minutes, and with not result in downtime.
Before the procedure, both a topical anesthetic and a local numbing agent will be applied to the treatment area for maximum comfort. Once this has taken effect, your Evolve Provider will insert the PDO threads using a blunt tip needle–lifting the skin and setting the threads in place.
There are two primary types of PDO threads: floating non-barbed threads and floating barbed threads–both include multiple sub-classes of threads. Your Evolve Medical provider will advise you on which thread is right for your skin.
What Are the Results?
It is advised that you do not put too much pressure on your face for the first two weeks after the treatment, including while sleeping. This ensures longer, better-looking results.
Your results can be seen immediately after treatment. The length of time your threads will last depends on the person, but most patients see results between 6-9 months. If this is the case, we recommend scheduling a follow-up appointment to maintain optimal results.
